Give Thanks

A pretty pink, blue and brown card for Thanksgiving. I know this isn't a traditional Thanksgiving card, but it was one of many that I made and the ONLY one I remembered to take a picture of.

Stamp Set : Hand Penned Holidays (#124310) from the holiday mini catalog

SO Worth the Wait!

I have neglected this blog for far too long. I'm sure you can relate to how easy it is to carried away with all the day to day chores and never make time to do the things you love...right? Well it has been forever since I took the time to make a mess and get crafty-until today! I spent today in my sweats crafting and baking my little heart out. It was fabulous! I am working on a ton of  fun stuff for Christmas and really made a dent in my plans today. I can't wait to share it all with you. I hope you will feel it was "so worth the wait".

This card was made a while ago, but I think it is most appropriate for this post.
The great sentiment is from the Stamp Set Word Play.
(wood #120308 or clear #120651)

This is a great set and really gives you some unique sentiments that cover a wide variety of occasions.
I also made one of the awesome medallions (or lollies, flowers, etc that you may call them) out of some designer series paper. It was super easy with the new simply scored (#122334).
The simply scored scoring tool is one of my favorite items from the Holiday mini. I {love} it!
Tomorrow I will share one of my Thanksgiving cards with you. I would share more than one, but I only remembered to take a picture of the one before popping them in the mail.. oh well.

Until tomorrow ... Happy Crafting!

Card of the Month - January 2011

This months featured card uses one of my very favorite stamp sets, Elements of Style. I fell in love with this stamp set when I went to a card class last year and just knew I had to have it. This card is super simple using only basic black, whisper white and real red. Perfect for Valentine's Day. I love the simple details. Check out the red heart, the cute top note on the inside and the stamped envelope! I LOVE to stamp my envelopes.

Remember, each month I will highlight one or more stamp sets in my card of the month. If you purchase any of those stamp sets from me during that month, you will get a FREE kit if the supplies needed to duplicate the card of the month OR I can send you a sample card that has already been made!

Until next time... Happy crafting!!

A necklace that makes a statement

I have the Simply Adorned™ 34" chain necklace (item# 116853) and the Simply Adorned™ 1-1/2" x 2" charm (item# 116799) which I found time this week to decorate inserts for. These charms are FABULOUS! I had a good time crafting a teeny tiny design to put inside them. If you haven't seen these charms yet, they are a must see. They are double sided with a lobster clasp that makes them easy to take on and off or flip sides. The front is beveled while the back is flat which adds a little variety for your artwork. I absolutely love them. Below are some photos of the quick inserts I made.

A new year brings new adventures

Happy New Year!
I am so excited about 2011! I think it is going to bring great things for me and my family. I hope the same is true for you and yours. As I kick of 2011 I have a new adventure ahead of me and that is what this blog is all about.

A little about me and this new blog
I love all things crafty. I love to sew and make jewelry, put in particular I LOVE paper crafting like scrapbooking and card making. My FAVORITE company for supplies has long been Stampin' Up! and I have finally taken the plunge and joined the wonderful Stampin' Up! family of demonstrators.

What does this mean?
Well, I will be hosting classes and workshops. I now have an online website where you can order product, see upcoming events, and get project inspiration. As well, I have this new blog to detail all of my Stampin' Up! projects.

I am looking forward to allowing myself to "love what I do and share what I love" as the Stampin' Up! mission statement says. I hope you enjoy the journey with me as I transform my hobby into a part time job and make your way back here often.

Until next time... Happy Crafting!
